Heather Brockman is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2003. She has extensive experience serving pediatric and adolescent populations in outpatient and interdisciplinary settings, through Essentia Health, Duluth Clinic with clinical expertise in language development, social communication, executive functioning, feeding, and cognitive-communication. Her areas of specialization include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), developmental language disorder, mental health and behavioral disorders, and complex learning profiles.

Her practice is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, grounded in evidence-based practice. She is DIR®/Floortime™ trained, sensory processing–informed, trained in AEIOU feeding approaches, and applies cognitive rehabilitation principles to support functional, meaningful outcomes. She is particularly skilled in translating complex assessment data into clear, actionable goals and treatment plans that promote participation across home, school, and community settings.

Heather has received three ASHA ACE Awards, recognizing her ongoing commitment to advanced clinical education and professional excellence.

In addition to clinical practice, she serves as a senior product specialist for Toivotek, integrating frontline SLP expertise with innovation in clinical workflow, documentation efficiency, and ethical AI integration. She has played a key role in developing SpeechSensePro to address a critical need for clinician-driven tools that enhance professional judgment while improving consistency, compliance, and quality of care. Specifically focusing on supporting clinicians while reducing administration burden and burnout.

Nicole Lampi is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of experience working in schools, inpatient, and outpatient clinics. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and currently serves as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Masonic Children’s Clinic for Communication Disorders in Duluth, MN. During her career she has developed multiple specialized programs, including a multidisciplinary feeding clinic and an AAC clinic. She is a co- creator and co- host of the “Hear Me Out” podcast, sharing parent and donor stories from the Masonic Children’s Clinic. Nicole is a Senior Product Specialist at ToivoTek, the company behind SpeechSensePro, a platform created to empower clinicians with AI-driven transcription, analysis, and therapy planning.

Nicole’s philosophy on therapy is rooted in connection, honoring each client’s voice, and supporting families as equal partners in care. She believes that communication disorders impact the entire family, and intervention should extend beyond the therapy room to include coaching, shared decision-making, cultural responsiveness, and practical home programming. Her clinical approach prioritizes evidence-based strategies delivered with empathy, creativity, and a strengths-based lens, ensuring every family feels seen, supported, and capable.

Nicole views AI as a tool to amplify—not replace—SLP expertise, and advocates for ethical, compliant innovation that reduces clinician burnout and administrative burden. Her belief that therapy should restore hope, increase access, and protect the clinician-family bond helped shape the development of SpeechSensePro. Nicole’s care philosophy is simple: progress is not something clinicians deliver to families—it is something they build with them, rooted in empathy, creativity, and belief in each client’s potential.

Amy Johnson is a certified speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of school-based speech therapy experience. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Minnesota Duluth and is currently employed by the School District of Superior in Wisconsin.

Amy serves on the University of Minnesota-Duluth Communication Sciences and Disorders Student Advisory Committee and is actively involved in leadership teams within her school district.

Amy’s passion is in the area of stuttering. Her interest in stuttering is inspired by growing up with a father who stutters.

Amy recently joined the Toivotek team, where she contributes her clinical expertise to the development of the SpeechSensePro app. Her work focuses on ensuring the app reflects evidence-based practice, supports clinician efficiency, and aligns with the realities of school-based service delivery.
